[Nu exista nici un adevar,nu te inseala nimeni,nu iubeste pe altcineva,si totusi nu vine cand o astepti, idioata credinta ca o sa apara si o sa-ti puna mana pe fruntea infierbantata e o inventie pe care nu stiu cine ne-o inculca inca de mici,inca din adolescenta,cand visam iubirea si armonia...Duca-se dracului,mi-am spus si am hotarat ca mai bine traiesc singur,si am aruncat in noaptea aceea peste bord gandul de a fi fericit cu o femeie.]

Nu intelegeam pe atunci de ce dau oamenii intre ei o lupta atat de nemiloasa,de inversunata si adesea otravita pentru opinie.Fiinta noastra e la discretia celorlalti,nu apari tu in ochii altuia asa cum esti,ci asa cum au reusit altii sa sugerezere o imagine despre tine.Si astfel viata noastra se scurge intr-un efort permanent si adesea disperat de a demola aceasta imagine(caci rar se intampla sa nu fie rea,in timp ce tu crezi cu naivitate ca esti un inocent),actiune de reusita careia depinde totul,realizarea in societate,fericirea si adesea evitarea primejdiilor mortale.

Work to me is much like my marriage. (I have an uneasy feeling about which one I spend more time working on.) I have often thought that if I wanted to just be happy in marriage, I would have wed one of my close male friends and spent my days arguing about sports and swilling beers. Instead, I married a beautiful women who challenges me at every turn and never fails to hold my interest and ultimately... makes me happy. I want much the same from my job. I want to be challenged and never grow stagnant in my thinking. To discover new things - even about a task I have completed numerous times before. I want to be able to branch out into areas that stretch my abilities knowing that I have the support of my talents in the areas I have passed through before. And ultimately I know that these daily struggles and yearning for something more will leave me exhausted... and happy.
